Red River Human Services Foundation (RRHSF) provides a variety of support services to people with intellectual disabilities.

 

Family Support Services (FSS) provide supports to children and their families.  The program provides opportunities for social and developmental growth through educational activities, physical assistance and play.  Families are provided respite opportunities to address the needs of the entire family.  RRHSF provides FSS supports in both Fargo and Wahpeton.  Contact person in Fargo is  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Individualized Supported Living Arrangements (ISLA) provides support with independent living skills to people, eighteen (18) years of age or older who have intellectual disabilities.  The program is designed to identify and minimize barriers that may make it difficult for people to live independently by providing support with independent living skills.  RRHSF provides ISLA supports in both Fargo and Wahpeton.  Contact person for support services in Fargo is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Supported Living Arrangement (SLA) and Section 11 programs are similiar to the ISLA programs in the support that is provided, however these programs allow only eight (8) hours of staff support per month.  RRHSF provides SLA and Section 11 supports in Fargo.   Contact person is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Transitional Care Living Facility (TCLF) homes provide supports for people with intellectual disabilities in a shared home setting.  Staff support people with community integration, social, leisure and daily living skills.  RRHSF has four homes in West Fargo.  Five people live in each of these homes, all with their own bedrooms.  In Wahpeton, there are two homes; each home supports between four and eight people.   Contact person in West Fargo is  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Congregate Care homes are intended for people with intellectual disabilities who are retired or semi-retired.  Supports are provided for people to maintain their current levels of activity.  Services  are intended to provide family living opportunities for people to function as independently as possible.  Congregate Care supports are provided in two homes in Wahpeton.  Contact person is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Intermediate Care Facilities for People with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/ID) programs are similiar to congregate care programs but emphasize developing, gaining, and maintaining living skills.  ICF/MR supports are provided in Wahpeton.  Contact person is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
